- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- nuts or raisins - 1 c
- thick applesauce - 1 c
How to make applesauce cake:
Cream butter and add sugar; cream until light. Add egg; beat well. Toss flour with cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Add flour and applesauce to butter mixture alternately. Toss nuts and raisins with 2 tablespoons flour. Fold into batter. Bake in a greased and floured 9-inch tube pan at 350° for about 1 hour.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low cholesterol.
