Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- boiling water - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- molasses - 1/2 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
How to make soft molasses cookies:
Put butter in bowl and cream until soft. Add water to melt, then add molasses, sugar and egg. Mix thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients. Add to first mixture. Drop by spoonful on well-greased cookie sheet. May also add raisins. Heat oven to 350°. Bake about 12 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
