Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 2 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- seedless raisins - 1 c
- medium onions - 2 item
- tart apples - 12 item
- green peppers - 2 item
- lemons juice and grated rind - 4 item
- tart jelly - 1/2 c
How to make apple chutney:
Pare, core and slice apples. Mince onions and peppers and add to apples, along with vinegar, raisins, jelly and the rest of the ingredients. Boil until thick, stirring constantly. Pack boiling hot into hot, sterilized jars. Seal.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Chutneys.
