Apple chutney
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- brown sugar - 4 c
- vinegar - 2 qt
- ginger - 2 Tbsp
- clove garlic - 1 item
- chopped apples - 2 qt
- onion - 1 item
- seeded raisins - 2 lb
- sweet red peppers - 3 item
- white mustard seed - 2 Tbsp
- pod hot pepper - 1 item
- black mustard seed - 2 Tbsp
How to make apple chutney:
Cook apples, sugar, vinegar, garlic, onion and peppers together until sauce is formed. Add raisins and spices; simmer 30 minutes. Let stand overnight. Heat to boiling. Pour into hot jars and seal at once.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Chutneys.
