Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • sticks margarine - 2 item
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • peeled and diced apples - 2 c

How to make apple cake:

Cream sugar and margarine. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, soda and salt together. Stir into creamed mixture. Add apples and chopped nuts. Pour into 9 1/2 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes or until done. Serve plain or with sweetened whipped cream. Serves 8 to 10.
