Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 2 tsp
- grated carrots - 3 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- eggs, well beaten - 4 item
- salad oil
- finely chopped nuts - 1 c
- stick butter or margarine, softened - 1 item
- vanilla or lemon extract - 1 tsp
- Add well beaten eggs and mix well
- box powdered sguar, sifted - 1 oz
How to make carrot cake:
Mix sugar and oil together. Add well beaten eggs and mix well. Combine dry ingredients and stir in. Mix until smooth. Add chopped nuts and carrots. Bake in 3 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans at 325° for 30 minutes.Cream Cheese Frosting:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened1 stick butter or margarine, softened1 (16 oz.) box powdered sguar, sifted1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract1 c. finely chopped nuts Cream cheese and butter together.
