Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 5 c
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- Crisco - 1 c
- warm water - 1/2 c
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
How to make angel biscuits:
Sift flour, soda, salt and baking powder together. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add to flour mixture with Crisco and buttermilk. Mix well. Knead lightly on floured board. Wrap in see-through paper. Place in covered bowl in refrigerator. Use as needed. Bake in 400° oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Dough will keep up to 2 weeks.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
