  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 5 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • Crisco - 3/4 c
  • warm water - 2 Tbsp
  • dry yeast - 1 pkg

How to make angel biscuits:

Put yeast in warm water. Mix all ingredients. Put in refrigerator and let stand overnight. Roll out. Cut with biscuit cutter. Let rise. Bake at 400°.
