Zesty meatballs



  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • salt
  • plus 2 Tbsp - 1/4 c
  • Worcestershire sauce - 3/4 c
  • chili powder
  • soft bread crumbs
  • cans tomato sauce - 3 oz
  • black pepper - 3/4 tsp
  • ground chuck - 3 lb
  • medium onions, finely chopped - 3 item

How to make zesty meatballs:

Combine first 7 ingredients, mixing well. Shape into 1-inch balls. Cook meatballs in skillet until lightly browned; drain. Place meatballs in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

Combine remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring ingredients to a boil. Cook over low heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour sauce over meatballs. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
