Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • salt
  • vegetable oil - 1 item
  • plus 2 Tbsp - 1/4 c
  • pepper - 3/4 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 3/4 c
  • bread crumbs
  • cans tomato sauce - 3 oz
  • medium onions, chopped - 3 item
  • ground chuck - 3 lb
  • fresh chopped parsley - 1 item
  • chili pepper

How to make zesty meatballs:

Combine the first 7 ingredients, mixing well. Shape into 1-inch balls. Cook meatballs in hot oil until they are lightly browned; drain. Place meatballs in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

Combine remaining ingredients, except parsley, in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cook over low heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour sauce over meatballs.

Bake at 325° for 30 minutes. Garnish with parsley. Yields about 6 dozen.
