Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- warm water - 1/2 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
- oil or shortening - 1/4 c
- scalded milk
How to make yeast rolls:
Add yeast to water. Melt shortening; scald milk. Cool to lukewarm. In a bowl, put milk, oil, salt, sugar and 2 cups flour. Beat and add yeast and egg. Mix; add remaining flour. Knead on floured board 20 times; divide into rolls in greased pan. Rise about 1 hour. Bake in 400° oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
