Whole wheat pancakes
Ingredients/Components
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- peanut butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- skim milk - 1 c
- whole wheat flour
- peanut oil - 2 Tbsp
- ripe banana, peeled - 1 item
How to make whole wheat pancakes:
In a blender, mix together the egg, milk, oil, peanut butter and banana. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and baking powder. Pour the contents of the blender into the bowl with the flour; stir only until mixed. Cook pancakes, turning only once. Serve with choice of toppings: pourable fruit, applesauce, honey, yogurt, cream cheese, syrup.Suggestions: Make pancakes small; they are very filling. Also, zucchini (steamed and pureed) can be substituted for banana and peanut butter.
