- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 5 to
- water - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- yeast - 6 tsp
How to make english muffin bread:
Combine 3 cups flour and yeast, sugar, salt and baking soda. Heat liquids until lukewarm. Add to dry mixture and beat well. Stir in more flour until batter is stiff. Put into 2 greased bread pans. Cover and let rise until it reaches the top of the pans, about 45 minutes. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.Recipe categories: Breads, Yeast breads, English.
