Whole wheat banana bread
Ingredients/Components
- all-purpose flour
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- sugar - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- whole wheat flour - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- Puritan oil - 1/4 c
- mashed ripe banana about 2 medium - 1 c
How to make whole wheat banana bread:
Combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda and salt together in a small bowl; stir well and set aside. Combine sugar and oil in a medium mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes until well blended. Add eggs; beat until light and lemon-colored.With mixer at low speed, add flour mixture, alternately with banana, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Blend well each addition. Stir in vanilla.
Pour batter into an 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Cool 15 minutes in pan. Remove from pan.
