Ingredients/Components

  • cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
  • oil - 4 Tbsp
  • chopped walnuts - 1 c
  • soy sauce - 6 Tbsp
  • chicken bouillon cubes - 4 item
  • minced garlic - 1 tsp
  • crushed red peppers - 1/2 tsp
  • skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into strips - 1 pkg
  • box frozen broccoli, chopped - 1 item
  • red bell pepper, cut into strips - 1 item
  • medium onion, cut into strips - 1 item

How to make walnut chicken:

In medium mixing bowl, mix cornstarch and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Stir in chicken and coat well. Set aside. In large skillet, heat 4 tablespoons oil. In medium saucepan, mix 2 cups water and chicken bouillon; heat until dissolved. Let cool.

When oil and skillet is hot, put in chicken, onions, crushed red pepper and garlic, stir in until chicken is white on all sides. When onions are cooked, add broccoli, red bell pepper and walnuts. (Put 2 tablespoons cornstarch and 4 tablespoons soy sauce in chicken broth and mix well.) As soon as red bell peppers are done, pour chicken broth mixture into skillet and stir until thickened. Serve walnut chicken over rice.
