Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 1 c
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • cooking oil - 1 item
  • paprika - 1/8 tsp
  • garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • black pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • sliced mushrooms - 1/2 lb
  • each - 4 thick
  • can condensed mushroom soup - 1 item

How to make venison swiss steak:

Rub the steaks with a mixture of flour, garlic powder, paprika and black pepper. Brown the meat in a large skillet along with the chopped onion. Add the mushroom soup and a can of water. Stir and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until tender. Remove the meat and add mushrooms to the liquid in the skillet. Simmer until tender and add the sour cream.
