- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- cooking oil - 1 item
- paprika - 1/4 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- rabbit, dressed - 1 item
How to make hasenpfeffer:
Cut up rabbit into serving size pieces. Dredge in a mixture of flour, salt, pepper and paprika. Brown in hot cooking oil. Remove the meat, add flour to the pan, followed by 1 cup water and the meat, onion, bay leaf and garlic powder. Stir, cover and simmer until well done.
