  • sour cream - 1 c
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • flour - 1/2 c
  • cooking oil - 1 item
  • paprika - 1/4 tsp
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • rabbit, dressed - 1 item

How to make hasenpfeffer:

Cut up rabbit into serving size pieces. Dredge in a mixture of flour, salt, pepper and paprika. Brown in hot cooking oil. Remove the meat, add flour to the pan, followed by 1 cup water and the meat, onion, bay leaf and garlic powder. Stir, cover and simmer until well done. Stir in the sour cream and heat again, but do not boil.
