Ingredients/Components
- butter or oleo - 1/4 lb
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chopped onions - 1 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- red wine - 1 c
- mushrooms - 1 lb
- carrots, sliced - 4 item
- potatoes, cubed - 4 item
- can whole kernel corn - 1 item
- venison - 2 3
- flour, salt and pepper - 1 item
How to make venison stew:
Cut meat in small pieces. Dredge in flour. Melt butter and brown meat. Add mushrooms, onions, pepper and celery. Add beef stock to cover meat and vegetables. Simmer 2 hours. Then add wine, potatoes, carrots and corn. Cook 30 minutes more.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, One Dish meal, Stew.
