Ingredients/Components

  • butter or oleo - 1/4 lb
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • chopped onions - 1 c
  • green pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • red wine - 1 c
  • mushrooms - 1 lb
  • carrots, sliced - 4 item
  • potatoes, cubed - 4 item
  • can whole kernel corn - 1 item
  • venison - 2 3
  • flour, salt and pepper - 1 item

How to make venison stew:

Cut meat in small pieces. Dredge in flour. Melt butter and brown meat. Add mushrooms, onions, pepper and celery. Add beef stock to cover meat and vegetables. Simmer 2 hours. Then add wine, potatoes, carrots and corn. Cook 30 minutes more.
