Venison cheeseburger pie
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1/4 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
- dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- shredded cheese - 2 c
- hot sausage - 1/2 lb
- ground venison - 1 lb
- pie crust single - 1 item
How to make venison cheeseburger pie:
Heat oven to 425°. Prepare pie crust for 9-inch pie. In skillet, brown meats and drain. Stir in 1 teaspoon salt, oregano, pepper, bread crumbs, tomato sauce, onion and green pepper. Pour into shell. Mix together 1 egg, 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon salt, Worcestershire sauce and shredded cheese. Pour this mixture over meat mixture and bake for 30 minutes. Preparation time 1 hour. Serves 4.Variations: May also be made with ground beef instead of venison.
