Ingredients/Components
- hamburger - 1 lb
- large onion, diced - 1 item
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- barley - 1/2 c
- bag frozen mixed vegetables - 20 oz
- large can V-8 juice - 1 item
- bouillon to taste - 1 item
How to make vegetable soup:
Fry hamburger and onion; drain off grease. In a soup kettle, mix hamburger, onion mixture and cover with 3 cups water. Add frozen vegetables, celery, barley, V-8 juice and bouillon. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for several hours, the longer the better. Serves 6.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Weeknight, Soups & stews.
