Ingredients/Components

  • hot water - 2 c
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • onion, diced - 1 item
  • minced parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • carrots, diced - 2 item
  • green pepper, diced - 1 item
  • potato, diced - 1 item
  • slices bacon, diced - 3 item
  • can tomatoes, chopped - 1 oz
  • turnip, diced - 1 item
  • stalks celery with leaves, diced - 2 item

How to make vegetable chowder:

Saute onion and bacon until soft. Add water, vegetables (except tomatoes) and seasonings. Bring to boil; cover and reduce heat to simmer. Cook 7 to 10 minutes until vegetables are tender. Add tomatoes and heat. Serve hot. Serves 6.
