Ingredients/Components
- hot water - 2 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- onion, diced - 1 item
- minced parsley - 2 Tbsp
- carrots, diced - 2 item
- green pepper, diced - 1 item
- potato, diced - 1 item
- slices bacon, diced - 3 item
- can tomatoes, chopped - 1 oz
- turnip, diced - 1 item
- stalks celery with leaves, diced - 2 item
How to make vegetable chowder:
Saute onion and bacon until soft. Add water, vegetables (except tomatoes) and seasonings. Bring to boil; cover and reduce heat to simmer. Cook 7 to 10 minutes until vegetables are tender. Add tomatoes and heat. Serve hot. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Low calorie, Soups & stews, Chowders.
