  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt - 4 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/3 c
  • chili powder - 1/4 tsp
  • 2 oz - 1 pt
  • diced celery - 1 c
  • sliced carrots - 1 c
  • bay leaves - 2 item
  • can 2 c - 1 lb
  • diced potatoes - 1 c
  • can whole kernel corn - 1 3/4
  • beef shank - 3 lb

How to make vegetable beef soup:

Combine meat, tomato juice, onion, seasonings and 6 cups water in a soup kettle. Cover and simmer 2 hours. Cut meat from bones in large cubes. Strain broth and skim off excess fat. Add meat and vegetables. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Serves 8.
