Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • evaporated milk - 1 c
  • semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • miniature marshmallows - 1 c
  • pecans, toasted - 1 c
  • chocolate pie crust - 1 item
  • vanilla ice cream, divided - 1 qt

How to make turtle pecan pie:

Freeze crust 15 minutes. Combine chocolate morsels, evaporated milk, marshmallows and salt in heavy pan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and smooth. Remove from heat. Set aside.

Spread 2 cups ice cream in pie crust. Cover and freeze 1 hour. Pour half of the chocolate mixture over ice cream layer. Cover and freeze 1 hour. Spread remaining ice cream over chocolate layer. Cover and freeze 1 hour. Spread remaining chocolate mixture over ice cream and top with toasted pecan halves. Freeze.
