Turtle pecan pie
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- evaporated milk - 1 c
- semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- miniature marshmallows - 1 c
- pecans, toasted - 1 c
- chocolate pie crust - 1 item
- vanilla ice cream, divided - 1 qt
How to make turtle pecan pie:
Freeze crust 15 minutes. Combine chocolate morsels, evaporated milk, marshmallows and salt in heavy pan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and smooth. Remove from heat. Set aside.Spread 2 cups ice cream in pie crust. Cover and freeze 1 hour. Pour half of the chocolate mixture over ice cream layer. Cover and freeze 1 hour. Spread remaining ice cream over chocolate layer. Cover and freeze 1 hour. Spread remaining chocolate mixture over ice cream and top with toasted pecan halves. Freeze.
