  • sticks margarine - 2 item
  • water - 1 c
  • cocoa - 4 Tbsp
  • sugar - 2 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • sour cream - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • Icing:1 stick margarine
  • milk - 6 Tbsp
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • chopped nuts - 1 c

How to make texas sheet cake:

Icing:1 stick margarine4 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped nuts Melt margarine for cake in a medium size pan. Add water and cocoa. Bring to a boil. Add remaining cake ingredients. Stir slightly and pour into a greased and floured oblong cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Icing: Make while cake is baking; melt margarine in a saucepan. Add cocoa and milk. Bring to a boil and add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Spread on cake as soon as it comes out of the oven. Let cool.
