Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 1/4 c
- confectioners sugar - 3 c
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- oleo
- sticks oleo or butter - 2 item
How to make texas sheet cake:
Frosting:1/3 c. oleo1/4 c. cocoa1/3 c. milk3 c. confectioners sugar1/2 c. chopped nuts In saucepan, melt oleo. Add cocoa. Stir. Add water and bring to boil. Add to dry ingredients in bowl (brown sugar, flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt). Mix with liquid ingredients. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla; mix.Pour in 10 x 15-inch greased jelly roll pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350°. Cool 10 minutes. Mix frosting.
Frosting: Melt oleo. Add cocoa. Add milk. Bring to boil. Take off burner. Add sugar. Stir in nuts. Pour on warm cake.
