Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- confectioners sugar - 1 lb
- nuts - 1 c
- cooking oil - 1/2 c
- buttermilk or sour milk - 1/2 c
- Sift together flour and sugar
How to make texas sheet cake:
Put in a saucepan and bring to a boil the first 4 ingredients. Sift together flour and sugar. Pour first mixture over flour and sugar. Mix well. Beat 2 eggs. Add to eggs the buttermilk or sour milk, soda and vanilla. Add batter and pour into greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Frost cake while still hot.Frosting:1 stick margarine4 Tbsp. cocoa1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk1 lb. confectioners sugar1/2 tsp. salt1 tsp. vanilla1 c. nuts Bring to boil the margarine, cocoa and buttermilk or sour milk.
