  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • water - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • cocoa - 4 Tbsp
  • confectioners sugar - 1 lb
  • nuts - 1 c
  • cooking oil - 1/2 c
  • buttermilk or sour milk - 1/2 c
  • Sift together flour and sugar

How to make texas sheet cake:

Put in a saucepan and bring to a boil the first 4 ingredients. Sift together flour and sugar. Pour first mixture over flour and sugar. Mix well. Beat 2 eggs. Add to eggs the buttermilk or sour milk, soda and vanilla. Add batter and pour into greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Frost cake while still hot.Frosting:1 stick margarine4 Tbsp. cocoa1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk1 lb. confectioners sugar1/2 tsp. salt1 tsp. vanilla1 c. nuts Bring to boil the margarine, cocoa and buttermilk or sour milk. Remove from heat and add rest of ingredients. Pour over hot cake.
