Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- chili powder - 2 2
- can whole kernel corn, drained - 1 oz
- slightly beaten eggs - 2 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- yellow corn meal - 3/4 c
- onions - 1 c
- sliced, pitted, ripe olives - 1/2 c
- few dashes bottled hot pepper sauce - 1 item
- cans seasoned tomato sauce - 2 oz
How to make tamale pie:
In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onions and garlic until meat is browned and onions are tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Turn into 12 x 7 1/2 x 2-inch baking dish. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean. Cut in squares. Makes 8 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Beef.
