  • milk - 1/2 3/4
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • baking powder
  • shortening - 4 Tbsp
  • mashed sweet potatoes - 1 c
  • nutmeg optional - 1/2 tsp
  • cinnamon optional - 1 tsp

How to make sweet potato biscuits:

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and spices. Blend in shortening, sweet potatoes and milk. Should make a stiff dough. Flour counter surface. Pat dough to 3/4-inch thickness. Cut biscuits with small juice glass or 3-inch cookie cutter. Bake at 37
