Sweet and sour chicken
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2 Tbsp
- cider vinegar - 1/4 c
- salad oil - 3 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- can pineapple chunks in juice - 1 oz
- medium sized onion - 1 item
- whole large chicken breasts, skinned, boned and cut in half - 2 item
How to make sweet and sour chicken:
Cut breast meat into 1 1/2-inch chunks. In cup, mix vinegar, brown sugar, cornstarch, soy sauce, water and salt. In 12-inch skillet over medium heat in hot salad oil, cook onion until tender. Increase heat to medium high; add chicken. Cook, stirring until chicken is tender, about 5 minutes. Add frozen peas, pineapple chunks with juice and cornstarch mixture.
