Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- powdered sugar
- chopped walnuts - 1 item
- walnuts - 1/2 c
- can crushed and undrained pineapple - 1 oz
- stick margarine, softened or melted in microwave - 1/2 item
How to make swedish nut cake:
Mix sugar, baking soda, 1/2 stick margarine, 1 teaspoon vanilla, eggs, flour, pineapple and walnuts together by hand. Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan with a little butter. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.Mix ahead of cake the cream cheese, 1 stick margarine, 1 teaspoon vanilla and powdered sugar. After mixing, refrigerate. Put on cooked cake. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top. Cake must be kept refrigerated.
