Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • cold water - 3/4 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • allspice - 1/4 tsp
  • catsup - 1 Tbsp
  • sage - 1/2 tsp
  • fine bread crumbs - 2 c
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • pepper to taste - 1 item
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • small onion, finely chopped - 1 item
  • sweet pepper relish - 2 Tbsp
  • pork chop, ground - 1 item

How to make swedish meatballs:

Mix all ingredients together and beat until light. Knead with hands. Roll into small balls. In buttered skillet, brown well. Place in covered dish and bake at 400° for 40 minutes.

Note: You can make ahead, brown and then freeze for later use.
