Supper on a bread slice
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- egg - 1 item
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- mustard - 1 Tbsp
- ground beef
- Accent - 3/4 tsp
- loaf French bread - 1 item
- cracker meal - 1/2 c
- grated American cheese - 2 c
- small can undiluted evaporated milk - 2/3 c
How to make supper on a bread slice:
Combine ingredients. (Cracker meal can be hand crumbled saltine crackers.) Cut French bread in half lengthwise. Spread meat mixture evenly over top surface of bread. Wrap heavy-duty foil around crust side of each half, leaving top uncovered. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Garnish with strips of cheese and bake 5 more minutes.
