Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- egg - 1 item
How to make sugar cookies:
Cream the butter; add sugar gradually and cream well. Sift salt and baking powder with flour; add milk gradually to the sugar mixture, then the well-beaten egg, then vanilla and flour gradually to make soft dough. Turn onto a floured board. Roll 1/4 inch thick. Cut with floured cookie cutter. Place on a slightly buttered pan and bake in a hot oven until slightly brown.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Rolled cookies.
