  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 4 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 2/3 c
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c

How to make sugar cookies:

Cream together shortening and sugar. Blend in the egg until fluffy. Stir in milk. Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture. Stir in vanilla. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 6 to 8 minutes.
