Stuffed mushrooms
Ingredients/Components
- fresh mushrooms - 1 lb
- finely chopped onion - 1/4 c
- finely chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- margarine, melted - 1/4 c
- white pepper - 1/4 tsp
- soft bread crumbs
- shredded Monterey Jack cheese - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- turmeric - 1/2 tsp
How to make stuffed mushrooms:
Remove stems from mushrooms. Chop and use 1/3 cup stems. Saute stems, onion and green pepper in 3 tablespoons of the margarine. Mix in remainder of ingredients, then stuff caps. Use remaining 1 tablespoon margarine to grease pan and place caps in pan. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Side dish, Vegetables.
