Ingredients/Components

  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • cup sugar - 1/4 item
  • cup margarine, melted - 3/4 item
  • package yeast - 1 item
  • cups self-rising flour - 4 item
  • cups very warm water - 2 item

How to make spoon rolls:

Place yeast in warm water. Melt margarine; cream with sugar in a large bowl, add egg. Add dissolved yeast to creamed mixture. Then add flour and stir until well mixed. Place in tightly covered bowl and keep in refrigerator. To cook, drop by spoon into well-greased 2-1/2 inch muffin tins and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, or until browned. Yield: 2 dozen.

Note: Dough keeps for several days.
