Rhubarb cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- nuts - 1/2 c
- margarine - 4 Tbsp
- allspice - 1/4 tsp
- shortening or margarine - 1/2 c
- chopped rhubarb - 2 c
How to make rhubarb cake:
Topping:2/3 c. flour1/4 c. brown sugar4 Tbsp. margarine1/2 c. nuts Mix sugar and shortening until smooth; add eggs and milk. Mix all dry ingredients together and add sugar and egg mixture. Stir in rhubarb.Topping: Mix margarine and brown sugar; add flour and nuts. Sprinkle on top.
Bake in a 9 x 12 pan at 350° for 40 minutes.
