Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/3 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar - 1/4 c
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • margarine - 4 Tbsp
  • allspice - 1/4 tsp
  • shortening or margarine - 1/2 c
  • chopped rhubarb - 2 c

How to make rhubarb cake:

Topping:2/3 c. flour1/4 c. brown sugar4 Tbsp. margarine1/2 c. nuts Mix sugar and shortening until smooth; add eggs and milk. Mix all dry ingredients together and add sugar and egg mixture. Stir in rhubarb.

Topping: Mix margarine and brown sugar; add flour and nuts. Sprinkle on top.

Bake in a 9 x 12 pan at 350° for 40 minutes.
