Spinach lasagne
Ingredients/Components
- water - 2 c
- egg - 1 item
- Parmesan cheese - 1 item
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 2 c
- cottage cheese - 1 c
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- lean ground beef - 1/2 1
- spaghetti sauce - 1 qt
- green pepper, chopped optional - 1/2 c
- chopped spinach - 2 c
- lasagne noodles, uncooked - 12 item
How to make spinach lasagne:
Baking Temperature: 350°. Baking Time: 45 minutes to 1 hour.Saute meat with onion and pepper until beef is brown. Add sauce and water. Set aside. Combine cottage cheese, egg and spinach. Set aside.
To assemble: In a greased 9 x 13-inch pan, put 1/4 of the sauce, 3 noodles, 1/4 of the sauce, 3 noodles, cottage cheese mixture, 3 noodles, 1/4 of the sauce, 3 noodles and remainder of sauce. Top with Mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Let stand for 1/2 hour; bake. Yield: 12 to 15 servings.
This may be made a longer time ahead; refrigerate until ready to bake.
