  • milk
  • butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
  • margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
  • small onion, chopped - 1 item
  • cubed, cooked turkey - 2 c
  • slices white bread - 4 item
  • jar sliced mushrooms - 1 1/2
  • dry spaghetti or noodles - 8 oz

How to make turkey tetrazzini:

Baking Temperature: 350°. Baking Time: 20 minutes.

Cook pasta. Keep warm. In a 2-quart saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons margarine and saute onion until tender. Stir in flour until blended. Gradually add milk, mushrooms with their liquid, bouillon, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is slightly thickened. Remove pan from heat. Stir in cheese. Tear bread into pieces to make 2 cups coarse bread crumbs. Over low heat, melt 3 tablespoons margarine and stir in crumbs. Remove from heat. Set aside.

Combine pasta, sauce and turkey. Gently toss to mix well. Spoon into greased 8 x 12-inch baking dish. Top with bread crumbs. Bake until heated through. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
