Spanish steaks
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 item
- oil - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- prepared mustard - 1 tsp
- onion, sliced - 1 item
- celery salt - 1/4 tsp
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- green pepper, sliced - 1/2 item
- cooked or canned tomatoes
- steak 1/2-inch thick - 1 lb
How to make spanish steaks:
Melt oil in skillet. Saute onion and pepper until tender. Cut meat into serving pieces; season with salt and pepper and coat with flour. Remove onions and peppers from pan. Brown meat. Top meat with onions and peppers. Mix tomatoes and rest of ingredients. Pour over steak. Cover tightly. Cook slowly for 1 hour or until meat is tender.Recipe categories: Weeknight, Meat, Beef.
