Spaghetti pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/3 c
- garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- cottage cheese - 1 c
- oregano - 1 tsp
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 1/2 c
- tomato paste - 6 oz
- spaghetti - 6 oz
- can tomatoes - 8 oz
- well beaten eggs - 2 item
How to make spaghetti pie:
Cook spaghetti and drain. Stir butter into hot spaghetti. Stir in Parmesan cheese and eggs. Form spaghetti mixture into a "crust" in buttered 10-inch pie plate.In skillet, cook beef and onion until browned; drain. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt. Heat through. Spread cottage cheese over bottom of crust. Fill pie with meat mixture. Bake, uncovered, in 350° oven for 20 minutes. Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese on top. Bake until it melts. Makes 6 servings.
