Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla extract - 1 Tbsp
  • margarine
  • light corn syrup - 3/4 c
  • 9-inch pie shell
  • pecans, chopped - 1 c
  • large eggs, lightly beaten - 3 item

How to make southern pecan pie:

Combine margarine, sugar and syrup in medium saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Cool slightly. Add eggs and vanilla, stirring well. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Top with pecans. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
