Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- canola oil - 2 Tbsp
- large or 2 small eggs - 1 item
- coarse corn meal
How to make southern corn bread:
Preheat oven to 450°. Generously grease pan. Sift dry ingredients in bowl. Combine eggs, oil and buttermilk and add to dry ingredients. Pour into pan and bake for 25 minutes or until done.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Grains.
