Sour cream fudge
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- whole corn syrup - 2 Tbsp
- sour cream, thinned with milk to consistency of whipping cream - 1 c
How to make sour cream fudge:
Cook in heavy saucepan over medium heat to soft boil stage. Put cover on pan for first few minutes and cooking time will be shortened. Remove from heat; drop in 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Cool to 110° without stirring. Stir; beat until it becomes thick and begins to lose its glossy look. Pour immediately onto a buttered plate. Do not spread. Cut when set.Recipe developed by my GrandMother, a Home Economics teacher.
