  • flour - 5 6
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • white sugar - 2 c

How to make sour cream cookies:

Cream shortening and sugars together. Add eggs, vanilla, salt, soda and baking powder and blend. Alternate sour cream and flour until all has been added; blend well. Refrigerate overnight.

Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° until lightly browned. This is a soft cookie. Can be frosted with a glaze or a butter cream frosting.
