Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • Karo light or dark - 1 c
  • sour milk - 1 c
  • flour enough for soft dough for drop cookies - 5 6

How to make brown sugar cookies:

Cream brown sugar, Karo, shortening and eggs and blend well. Add soda, baking powder, salt, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. Add milk and flour until well blended.

Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 350° until lightly browned.
