  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • milk - 1 item
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 2 c
  • flour - 4 c
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 2 c
  • shortening - 2 c
  • rolled oats - 4 c
  • white sugar - 2 c
  • 10x sugar
  • Glaze: peanut butter

How to make davy crockett bars:

Glaze: peanut butter 10x sugar milk Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs. Mix in remaining ingredients. Divide mixture in half, putting each half in a jelly roll pan. If you do not have jelly roll pans, use similar size pans. Bake at 350° for approximately 20 minutes. Time may vary depending on pan size.

Make the amount and consistency of glaze that you want.

Makes a lot of bar cookies for sharing or taking to church functions.
