Sour cream coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- melted margarine - 1/2 c
- sugar - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- container sour cream - 8 oz
- eggs - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 2
- additional 1/2 stick margarine
How to make sour cream coffee cake:
Topping:1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar1 c. chopped walnuts1 to 2 tsp. cinnamon additional 1/2 stick margarine Mix cake ingredients by hand until blended. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Mix your topping ingredients (amount of sugar and cinnamon depends on your individual tastes), and sprinkle over entire top of cake batter. Take about a 1/2 stick or margarine, and cutting into small pieces, place dots of margarine all over the topping. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. (The cake may look somewhat wet on top when it comes out of the oven. That's okay. This is a very moist coffee cake.)Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Coffee cakes.
