  • sugar - 3 c
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • butter - 1 c
  • eggs, separated - 6 item
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • sifted flour - 3 c

How to make sour cream cake:

Sift dry ingredients. Cream the shortening and sugar. Add egg yolks and continue beating. Add sour cream, vanilla and flour. Beat until smooth. Fold with a spoon the egg whites last. Bake in greased tube pan 1 1/2 hours at 325°.
