Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- finely chopped pecans - 1 c
- 8 oz - 1 c
- reserved cake mix
- Crisco oil or Puritan oil - 1/3 c
- Duncan Hines Butter Recipe golden cake mix - 1 pkg
- Combine filling ingredients and set aside
How to make sock-it-to-me cake:
Filling:2 Tbsp. reserved cake mix2 tsp. cinnamon2 Tbsp. brown sugar1 c. finely chopped pecans Preheat oven to 375°. Combine filling ingredients and set aside. In a large bowl, blend cake mix, sour cream, oil, 1/4 cup sugar, water and eggs. Beat at high speed for 2 minutes. Pour 2/3 of the batter in a greased and floured 10-inch tube or Bundt pan. Sprinkle filling ingredients over batter in pan. Spread remaining batter evenly over filling mixture. Bake at 375° for 45 to 55 minutes, until cake springs back when touched lightly. Cool right side up for about 25 minutes, then remove from pan.Glaze:1 c. confectioners sugar2 Tbsp. milk Blend together and drizzle over cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 15 mins.
